I tried to sign up to beta-test Colonial Warrior. I elected to give my e-mail address so I could download my copy of the game. However, in signing up I was dismayed to read that my e-mail password was required to complete registration. I chose not to give my password. I could not imagine why it would be needed to test a space shooter.

Now every three to five minutes my browser pops up an error message asking for my e-mail password. Not gonna happen.

Can anyone there remove my e-mail address from your files?

It is: cmubarak (at) charter.net.

Thank you. I'd hate to change an email address I've had for many years. I also like may Opera browser.

Hi,

I have no idea what "files" you are referring to...  we don't have any files with email info except the user accounts on this site. This information is not shared with anyone nor is it used for any purpose other than verifying users identity during registration on this web site (You have the option to display it or hide it from other users here).

I assure you we are not pinging you or employing any other type of attempt to contact you.  The only password we would ever ask for would be during "log in" to this web site. No password is required to download CW (you don't even have to be logged in here to DL it). We certainly would not ask for your email password!
I think you've confused what is going on.  I suspect you tried to send me an email via net mail and your mail sever simply wants you to log in to verify the message is from you. To see if this is true simply go to your mail server and see if a message is pending in your out box (to me).

Also look carefully at the message box sending the password request to see if you can determine what program is asking for a password (if it's your email program, then it's to be expected). If your browser is asking for it, then it's your browser that wants it... it's not us asking for it.

I'm very sorry you're having problems, but I assure it's nothing to do with us.

You may feel free to write to me again, I'll try to help you resolve your issues.
